- The photos and reels you make are yours. Use them however you like.
- We never post to your social accounts for you. Sharing is always your choice, with a tap.
- We only let the property or StayReel re-share your reel or photos if you tick to allow it, and you can change your mind.
- We collect a little, mostly anonymous, information about how the page is used (like taps and reels made). See our Privacy Policy.
- Add your own music in the app you post to, and follow that platform’s rules.
1. Who this is from
1.1 Who we are. This page (the “Guest Page”) is provided by StayReel (“StayReel”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The “Property” is the place you are staying; the “Host” is the person or business that owns or manages it and has arranged StayReel for it.
1.2 What this covers. This notice explains how the Guest Page works, what happens with the content you create (“Guest Content”), and the choices you have. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
1.3 Using the page. By using the Guest Page you agree to this notice. If you do not agree, simply don’t use it. It is entirely optional.
2. What the Guest Page does
The Guest Page may show you marked photo spots at the Property, with guidance on where to stand and when the light hits them, a simple capture flow to take photos at those spots, an automatically generated reel of your photos set to music, and options to save your reel and photos or open them in apps like Instagram or TikTok. It is free, needs no login, and you can use as much or as little of it as you like.
3. Your content is yours
3.1 You own what you make. You own the photos, videos and reels you create using the Guest Page (your Guest Content). You can save them to your device and share them anywhere.
3.2 What we provide. Some elements the Property has paid us to produce, for example professional photos and drone clips of the Property (“Property Content”), remain the Property’s and StayReel’s material. You may include them in the reel you make and share for your own personal, non-commercial use, but they are not yours to sell or license on.
4. Sharing and permissions
4.1 Nothing is shared automatically. Your Guest Content is not posted or published by anyone unless you choose to share it. Saving and sharing are always your choice.
4.2 No auto-posting. We do not and cannot post to your personal social accounts for you. Sharing is always a one-tap hand-off: we open the app (such as Instagram or TikTok) with your reel ready, and you decide whether and what to post.
4.3 Letting the Property re-share (optional). If, and only if, you choose “Yes, share it”, you give that Property’s Host a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and re-share your Guest Content on the Property’s own channels, listings and marketing. This does not give StayReel permission to use your Guest Content in its own marketing; that would require a separate, explicit choice. Host sharing is optional and is not required to use the Guest Page.
4.4 Changing your mind. You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing hello@stayreel.xyz. We will stop new uses within a reasonable time. Content that has already been shared or re-posted may not be able to be recalled.
4.5 Respect platforms and other people. When you share, follow the rules of the platform you post to. Only capture and share content you have the right to, and be considerate of other people who may be in shot.
5. Being considerate: acceptable use
Please use the Guest Page lawfully and respectfully. In particular:
- don’t capture or share content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful or that invades someone’s privacy;
- don’t share images of other guests or people without their okay;
- follow the Host’s house rules and respect the Property and its neighbours; and
- the Guest Page is intended for adults (18+). If your photos include children, you are responsible for having the right to capture and share them, including any parent or guardian permission, and for following the law and platform rules.
6. Music and third-party apps
We don’t bake licensed commercial music into your reel. You add your own audio in the app you post to (such as a trending sound on Instagram or TikTok) and are responsible for your use of it. Any third-party material you add is your responsibility to use properly.
7. Privacy, in short
7.1 What we collect. Mostly anonymous information about how the Guest Page is used, such as scans, spots viewed, reels made, saves and opens, plus the Guest Content you create (which may include images of you or others), and your contact details if you get in touch or ask us to act on your permission settings.
7.2 Why. To run and improve the service, generate your reel, and give the Host anonymous, aggregated statistics about how their page is used. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t auto-post on your behalf.
7.3 Your information rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and ask questions about how it is handled, by emailing hello@stayreel.xyz. Full detail, including how the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the privacy laws of Australia and the United States apply, is in our Privacy Policy.
8. The page is provided “as is”
We want the Guest Page to work beautifully, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, and can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Guest Page. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any consumer or other rights you have by law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes and governing law
9.1 Changes. We may update this notice from time to time. The version shown on the Guest Page when you use it applies to that use.
9.2 Governing law. Unless local law says otherwise for where you are, this notice is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Choosing a governing law does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer and privacy laws of the country or state where you are based.
