The short version

- This page is provided by StayReel for the place you are staying. It is free to use, with no app and no account needed.
- You retain your rights in the photos and videos you provide. You give StayReel and its authorised editor only the licence needed to securely copy, edit, store and privately deliver the reel you request. The finished edit may also contain StayReel editing, templates and Property Content; you may watch, save and personally post it under the licence below.
- We never post to your social accounts for you. Sharing is always your choice, with a tap.
- After delivery, you may separately let the property view one reel privately inside StayReel. This is off by default, can be turned off again, and does not let the property download, post or otherwise use it. Social reposting is not available.
- We collect page-use events, device/security data, your delivery email, the content you provide, the finished reel and permission records. Email, photos and reels are personal information, not anonymous data. See our Privacy Policy.
- Pilot reels are delivered without audio. If you add music or post in another app, follow that app’s rules and obtain any rights needed for your use.
1. Who this is from
1.1 Who we are. This page (the “Guest Page”) is provided by Jennifer Wilde, a New Zealand sole trader, under the trading name StayReel (“StayReel”, “we”, “us”, “our”) for a New Zealand pilot. Our physical contact address is Level 2, 85 Beach Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand. The “Property” is the place you are staying; the “Host” is the person or business that owns or manages it and has arranged StayReel for it.
1.2 What this covers. This notice explains how the Guest Page works, what happens with the content you create (“Guest Content”), and the choices you have. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
1.3 Your request. Browsing the Property guide is optional. When you choose a button that asks StayReel to save your delivery email or make a reel, you instruct us to produce and privately deliver the reel, confirm the adult/content promises in section 5, and agree to this notice. We record the exact notice version and time. That action does not give the Property viewing or reposting rights and does not give StayReel marketing permission.
2. What the Guest Page does
The Guest Page may show marked photo spots at the Property, guidance on where to stand and when the light hits them, and a capture flow for taking photos. If you request a reel, an authorised StayReel editor manually creates it outside the platform, then an administrator privately uploads, checks and deliberately delivers the approved version to your private Guest Page. It is free, needs no account, and you can use as much or as little of it as you like.
3. Your content is yours
3.1 Your content and our limited production licence. You retain your rights in photos and videos you provide through the Guest Page. When you request production or delivery, you give StayReel and its authorised editor a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to securely copy, crop, sequence, edit, store and privately deliver that content only for your requested StayReel service, safety, support and necessary legal records. This is not a marketing or social-reposting permission. You confirm you can grant this licence.
3.2 The finished edit. StayReel owns or controls its edit, templates, branding and other original production elements, subject to your underlying rights and any Property Content. StayReel gives you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to watch, save and personally post the delivered silent reel for non-commercial use. You may make ordinary crops, captions and platform-format changes, but must not sell, sublicense, misrepresent or use the reel unlawfully.
3.3 Property Content. Some elements the Property has paid StayReel to produce, for example professional photos and drone clips (“Property Content”), remain controlled by the Property and/or StayReel. Your finished-reel licence lets you use those elements only as part of that delivered reel for your personal, non-commercial use; you may not extract, sell or license them separately.
4. Sharing and permissions
4.1 Nothing is shared automatically. Your Guest Content is not posted or published by anyone unless you choose to share it. Saving and sharing are always your choice.
4.2 No auto-posting. StayReel never posts to your personal social accounts. If you choose to post a reel in another app, you control that action and that app’s rules apply.
4.3 Private Property viewing (optional). After a reel is delivered, you may turn on a separate choice for authorised users who manage the named Property to watch that reel inside their private StayReel dashboard. The choice is off by default and is not required to receive, watch or save your reel. It does not allow them to download, record, copy, post, advertise, place on listings, share or otherwise use the reel, and it does not give StayReel marketing permission.
4.4 Changing your mind. You can turn private Property viewing off from the same private reel page. New host view links stop immediately; a link already issued expires within five minutes. You can also email hello@stayreel.xyz for help with access, correction, deletion or permission questions.
4.5 Respect platforms and other people. When you share, follow the rules of the platform you post to. Only capture and share content you have the right to. Before submitting content containing another identifiable adult, tell them about the collection, editing, private delivery, authorised editor/admin access and the optional Property-view disclosure described here, and get their agreement. They can contact StayReel for access, correction or deletion.
5. Being considerate: acceptable use
Please use the Guest Page lawfully and respectfully. In particular:
- don’t capture or share content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful or that invades someone’s privacy;
- don’t submit an identifiable adult's image unless you have told them how StayReel will handle it and they agree;
- follow the Host’s house rules and respect the Property and its neighbours; and
- you must be 18 or older, every identifiable person shown must be 18 or older, and you must not submit intimate, sexual, health, identity-document, financial, illegal or similarly sensitive content. Do not submit any content depicting or identifying a child, even with guardian permission, during the pilot.
6. Music and third-party apps
Every reel delivered during the pilot must be exported without audio. StayReel does not bake social-platform music into the file. If you add music or post the reel in another app, you are responsible for following that app’s rules and obtaining any rights required for your use. The silent-file rule does not allow the Property to repost your reel; that feature remains unavailable.
7. Privacy, in short
7.1 What we collect. Page-use events such as scans, spots viewed, reels requested, provider-accepted deliveries, saves and opens; device/security data; the delivery email you supply; Guest Content; finished reels; the exact notice/version acceptance; and permission/support records. Session events may be pseudonymous at first, but email, photos and reels are personal information and are not described as anonymous.
7.2 Why. To run and improve the service, manually produce and privately deliver your requested reel, maintain permission and audit records, and give the Host anonymous, aggregated statistics about how their page is used. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t auto-post on your behalf.
7.3 Your information rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you and ask how it is handled by emailing hello@stayreel.xyz. You can turn private Property viewing off yourself on the delivered-reel page. Full detail about the New Zealand pilot, retention, overseas providers and complaints is in our Privacy Policy.
8. The page is provided “as is”
We want the Guest Page to work beautifully, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, and can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Guest Page. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any consumer or other rights you have by law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes and governing law
9.1 Changes. We may update this notice from time to time. The version shown on the Guest Page when you use it applies to that use.
9.2 Governing law. This notice is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Nothing here excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded. The current pilot is offered for New Zealand properties only.
